In this series, local people tell us what the Mill means to them, and imagine what it could become.

Matilda, Lydia and Zophia outside the Mill
We are three young school girls that can make a big difference, like everyone else in the world. Now being in year six feels like you’re not very important, but we’re hoping that the Mill will change that…
Firstly, we think that it should be dog friendly (woof woof), and people friendly. What we mean by that is there will be no bullying but caring and kind choices. If you need a bit of chilling out when your visiting the Mill, come and check out our ‘Cosy Den’.The Cosy Den will have blankets, pillows, beanbags, books and board games.Sometimes it will be a cinema hall, other times there could be music playing, other times it will be a room for clubs e.g pokemon, arts and crafts, lego. All the clubs will be free. But, all of the times it will be our Cosy Den.
Whilst you are enjoying your visit, you and your family/friends could take a stroll round the centre to see our donkeys. If you’re under the age of 12 you get the experience of riding on a donkey for only £1!
Want to drink a cup of coffee or tea (or lick some ice cream)? Visit the ‘Tea Hut’ by our natural pool/pond.

Scoping out the new ‘Tea Hut’.
If you have any children or grandkids then let them waste their energy playing in the ‘Adventure playground’. By the Adventure playground there will be our ‘Game Shed’. In the game shed there will be hula hoops, footballs, stilts, tennis balls e.g.
When we are in the season:summer,it is a possibility that we open up the pond into a pool. But, of course there would be rules to keep everyone safe. The pool could also have a rope swing into it!
If you are taking a picnic and you’re unsure of where to sit, don’t worry we’ve got you covered. There will be picnic benches all over Bickleigh Mill and our pond area.
Not taking a picnic? Then visit the ‘Food Hatch’ right at the centre of Bickleigh Mill. The food hatch has a wondrous variety of different foods. Not thinking of eating from the food hatch, why not try the’Super Duper Market’ which will become your local supermarket. Do not worry about finding your way around Bickleigh Mill as there will be lots of helpful signs to guide the way.
We had a great idea of giving the children of Bickleigh a £1000 budget, to share on something to add to Bickleigh Mill at the end of every year.
Bickleigh Mill (and everyone helping in it) would like to see all the old and new faces to come and join the Red Ribbon Cutting of the Mills big open day…
